Birmingham Speedway Needs You!

I attended the speedway meeting at Perry Barr on 22 July 2009, and bought a programme. The racing was great entertainment .... a shame that the final race defeat meant that Glasgow took the victory. However :-

Give the owners of Birmingham Speedway the flexibility they need!

They have made a planning application. If granted it would give them more flexibility to have meetings on different days. You can read the planning application by going to www.birmingham.gov.uk/planningonline , and searching for application number N/02660/09/FUL .

Please respond! Comments to the Council can be made online, but no later than 29 July 2009.

I have posted a comment, saying :-

As someone who occasionally attends Speedway meetings at Perry Barr, I urge you to pass this application. I do so because it appears to me that if the concept of Speedway at Perry Barr is agreed, which it is, then the business running it should be granted greater flexibility as regards when meetings can be held.

In my opinion it makes no sense to, for example, allow racing on a Wednesday, but not on a Thursday! Please allow this application.
